History

Celtic Crab Products is wholly owned by Glyn Phillips and Diana White.

Glyn started fishing as a young boy, just as his father, grandfather and great grandfather did before him. Glyns’ eldest sons now run the boat named ‘Celtic’ His sons are the fifth generation fishermen, hopefully their young sons will become the sixth.

The ‘Celtic’ fishes from Milford Haven in West Wales up to 30 miles offshore.

We operate from our unit that is a purpose built unit designed for the food industry.

As well as our own catch we source our fish and shellfish locally when available and further afield across the UK to bring you some of the best and freshest produce possible.

Glyn controls the supply of our Fish and Shellfish on a day to day basis. Diana’s role is dealing with daily sales and accounts.

Apart from online sales, that is delivered by Overnight Couriers, we also provide a local delivery service from our own vans supplying the best fish available.

‘Celtic Crab Products Ltd’ is our company name, however we operate under the name

‘The Welsh Fishmonger’. Our online sales operate under both names.

Collectively we aim to provide the best service and produce we possibly can.

This photo above is of Glyn Phillips’ Grandfather and was taken at a Famous Tourist Attraction and Beauty spot known as the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy in West Wales. His Grandfather and his Father were together responsible for turning what was once an old dry slate quarry into the Famous Blue Lagoon that is viewed and enjoyed by many today.

Together they ‘acquired’ the explosives from a local granite quarry to create the entrance to allow the sea water through to enable them to get their boats in. By doing so it made their life a lot easier when hauling in their catch and unbeknown to them at the time they created this Tourist attraction that has been and will be enjoyed by many.

Over the years a lot has changed, the boats especially. We now fish from Milford Haven in a 12metre Catamaran pictured below.
